#MootIEUK22 Keynote from Martin Dougiamas
At 10 AM (Irish standard time), Founder of Moodle Martin Dougiamas greeted the attendees of the UK & Ireland Moodlemoot and delivered his keynote presentation entitled ‘4.0 and beyond’.
Martin Dougiamas joined us live from Perth, Australia. The session involved an overview of newly released Moodle 4.0. As seen in the screenshot below, Martin discussed the new features added to the 4.0 release including an improved Moodle login page, Atto text editor, accessibility improvements, and site admin presets.

Martin Dougiamas discussed his plans for the next release, Moodle 4.1 and spoke on the forever evolving technological environment.
The attendees were left with plenty of food for thought regarding the future of online education and the involvement of Artificial Intelligence and smart devices for Moodle.
