Meet our Sponsors: Wooclap

Wooclap logo

Wooclap is a web-based student response system which, combined with your educational strategy, allows you to engage students during both face-to-face lectures and distance learning exercises.

Wooclap’s goal is to capture the attention of students to improve their learning, whether they’re in the classroom or at home taking an online course. Students use their smartphone, tablet or computer to connect to a link on the platform and answer questions. The online app collects the results and displays them in your presentation in real-time.

Wooclap integrates directly with Moodle through a plug-in. Teachers can also insert Wooclap quizzes directly into a PowerPoint or Google Slide presentation, and Wooclap is compatible with all video conferencing platforms.

What is the title of your presentations at this year’s Moot?

Using Wooclap to engage students in their learning experience (Moodle Plugin)

Inside your students’ brain – Study vs learn: how do students learn best, hence how can you teach them efficiently.

Give us a brief description of what to look forward to.

This presentation will give you notable insights on the three effective strategies we’ve chosen to point out and can be used by students in order to study efficiently; Brain activation, Interleaving practice and having a growth mindset.

Why have you chosen to present this topic?

We have chosen this topic to make teachers more aware of the importance of the process of information retention by students in order to teach them effectively. When teachers have insights on how their students’ brain functions in the best possible way, they know how and where to adapt their teaching accordingly in order to teach them efficiently.

Share with us one tool or technique you or your client implemented while using Moodle which has benefited you and your organisation.
